Viktor Lindell was born to Peter Karlsson and Fia Lindell on January 23rd, 1995. His hometown is Vastervik, Sweden. As one of three Swedish players on the Blizzard team this season, Viktor has come to be right at home while living with billet mom, Lori Ponto. He has one brother named Hannes Lindell and previously played for Frolunda HC. He is one of many Blizzard forwards who are making a name for themselves here in Brookings and has been playing hockey since the age of four.
Outside of hockey, he says he loves to "hang out" with the boys. Viktor, as well as a few of his Blizzard teammates have been enjoying the benefits of having tanning beds in Brookings and are looking a few shades darker than the rest of us this winter. Viktor did admit his favorite movie is The Notebook and that his favorite thing about Brookings is Lori Ponto. After hockey is over, he'd like to settle down someday to get married and have kids.
Viktor currently has 20 points in his 48 games with the Blizzard. He continues to be one of the biggest offensive threats in the lineup, and is an exciting player to watch. Lindell, #21, and his teammates look to steal two from Austin on tomorrow's roadtrip, and also battle the Bruins on Saturday evening at Larson Ice Center! Be sure to get a copy of the Viktor Lindell playing card before Saturday's contest!
