The Brookings Blizzard are looking for qualified individuals to join our Off Ice Officiating Team. The Off Ice Officiating Team will assist the team in operations of hands on, game duties including Scorekeeping (via LeagueStat), Clock Operations, Goal Judges (2), and Penalty Box Operations (2). It is required that these positions can make a commitment to all Blizzard Home Games throughout the season. Knowledge of the game of ice hockey is preferred, however is not required. The Brookings Blizzard are looking for dedicated, hard-working, and qualified individuals to fill internship positions for the 2018-19 Season. We offer a variety of internship positions, in which our main objective is to get students real-world experience so they are prepared to accept a job offer post-graduation. Our Internships include Sales, Game Day Promotions, Game Day Operations, Video Promotions, and Social Media Internships. The Blizzard have both full time and part time internships available. Internships may be taken for college credit if necessary. It is required that the interns be available for all home games in a season (season may run anywhere from September – April). Interns must also be willing to be a part of the Blizzard Street Team to promote the team in the community and represent the organization at special events. Applicants need to be outgoing, energetic, and enjoy working in a fast paced environment. Positive attitudes are a must. A general understanding of hockey is preferred, however is not required.
