The 2014 NAHL Top Prospects Tournament started Monday in Troy, MI. Players and coaches from across the country traveled to Troy to participate in the two-day event that attracts dozens of NCAA and professional coaches and scouts.
Representing the Blizzard on the Central team are forwards Conor Andrle (#5) and Evan Hesse (#13), as well as defenseman Brandon Parker (#9).
The Central team defeated the Midwest team 4-1 late yesterday afternoon. Andrle recorded an assist on the team's first goal in the second period, which tied game 1-1. Austin's Jay Dickman scored on the play. The Central team would record three more goals in the third period to seal the victory for the Central.
Players at the Top Prospects Tournament hope to impress college coaches and scouts as they work to advance their playing careers to the collegiate levels. All three Blizzard players are playing their final seasons at the junior level.
Team Central will take on the NAHL South team today at 1pm EST. Watch the game on Fasthockey.com.
