The Brookings Blizzard of the North American Hockey League are proud to announce that three former players have made NCAA commitments.
Jeff Flicker has committed to play next season at St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. A native of Long Beach, CA, Flicker played in 58 games for the Blizzard last season and had 17 points with 5 goals and 12 assists.
Evan Hesse, a forward from Monticello, MN, has committed to play at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, MN next season. Hesse, who served as a team captain in this past season, lead the Blizzard in points this season with 44 points in 58 games with 16 goals and 28 assists. In 104 games with the Blizzard the last two years, Hesse had 31 goals and 81 points. He played in over 200 NAHL games during his 4-year junior career.
Joining Flicker at St. John’s University will be Blizzard forward Conrad Sampair. A native of White Bear Lake, MN, Sampair battled injuries all season but was named team captain and had 16 points during the season.
To date, the Blizzard have had 7 players from the 2013-2014 season make NCAA commitments.
