Three Blizzard Players Selected for Top Prospects

The North American Hockey League (NAHL) has announced the rosters for next month’s NAHL Top Prospects Tournament, presented by Easton, which will be held from February 23-24, 2015 at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Brookings Blizzard had three players selected to participate in the event and represent Blizzard and the NAHL Central Division. The selections include defenseman Kristoffer Brun and forwards Zack Glienke and Beau Michaud.

Brun is a 6’3”, 215 lb. defenseman from Stockholm, Sweden. He as played in 37 games for the Blizzard this season and has shown tremendous strength and ability on the blue line for first year head coach Dan Daikawa. He spent 2013-14 with the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL before joining the Blizzard this season.

Glienke is second on the team in scoring with 34 point and leads the Blizzard with 16 goals. The Eagan, MN native has 42 career points in 58 games in the NAHL, playing 15 games with Topeka last season before joining the Blizzard this year.

Michaud is in his second year with the Blizzard and leads the team with 42 points this season. The Esko, MN native was named captain at the start of the season and has show great leadership on and off the ice this year. He as 14 goals in 41 games this season and 62 career points in 93 games with the Blizzard the last two seasons.
