Playoff Schedule Announced

The Brookings Blizzard will take on the Bismarck Bobcats in the first round of the 2013 NAHL Central Division Playoffs. The two teams will play a best of five series in a 2-2-1 format.

Bismarck (79 points), who finished the 2012-2013 regular season as runners-up in the Central Division behind the Austin Bruins (91 points), will have home ice advantage in the first round.

The Blizzard and the Bobcats will play the first two games of the series at the VFW Center in Bismarck on April 12th and 13th. The games are scheduled to start at 7:15pm.

Game three will be played at the Larson Ice Center in Brookings on Friday, April 19th at 7:30pm. If a game four is needed, it will also be played in Brookings on Saturday, April 20th at 7:30pm.  Game five will be played in Bismarck on Monday, April 22nd if necessary.

It could be a very tight series between the two rivals. The Blizzard were 5-5 against the Bobcats during the regular season, going 2-2 at home at 3-3 on the road. Seven of the ten games were decided by one goal and two games went into a shootout, the Blizzard winning both.
