Brookings was looking for a sweep Saturday night, but the Wilderness exploded with the first four goals. Connor Koviak started the comeback with a late first period goal, and Brookings scored twice in the second to pull within 4-3 heading into the 3rd period. Josh Boyer scored his 26th of the year, and Koviak scored shorthanded for his second of the game and 17 of the season. Minnesota controlled the third period scoring twice to seal the victory.

The Blizzard hosted the Wilderness with each team on the brink of clinching, or being eliminated from the playoffs. Vince Marino gave the Blizzard a 1-0 lead after one with his 14th goal of the season assisted by Vince Marino, and Cameron Teamor. After the Wilderness tied it up early in the second, Gabe Wahl, and Connor Koviak pushed the Blizzard lead to 3-1 midway through the period. Minnesota fought back to tie the game at three entering the third. After a scoreless third period, Jimmy Elser ripped home the game winner from the slot half a minute into OT. With the one point, the Wilderness clinched a playoff spot, and Brookings was eliminated when Minot beat Aberdeen.
