Brookings looked to sweep the Wilderness Saturday night, but it was Minnesota who jumped out to an early lead once again. Trailing 2-0 late in the first Josh Boyer scored his 20th goal of the season off a nice centering feed from Vince Marino. Carson Kosebud tied the game at two on the power play in the second. Minnesota controlled the third period scoring three goals including an empty netter. Doug Larson scored the lone third period goal for the Blizzard. Brookings will host Minot Friday March 2nd at 7:05

The Blizzard were in desperate need of two points Friday night as they hosted the Wilderness. Minnesota jumped out early two minutes into the game with a goal from CJ Regula. Brookings came back late in the second with two goals to take a 2-1 lead into the third. Derek Hammer scored off a rebound from Jimmy Elser, and Gabe skated in and roofed the puck for the lead. Minnesota tied the game with two minutes left in the game, but the Blizzard came through in the shootout on Connor Koviak’s goal. Adam Bryzgala picked up his 5th win for the Blizzard.
