BLIZZARD SPLIT WEEKEND

Friday, November 20
Blizzard hit the road Friday night as they played the Minnesota Magicians. Nick Ford gave the Blizzard an early lead scoring on the backhand for his third goal of the season. Minnesota came back to tie it just a minute later, but Hakkarainen fired two goals in for a 3-1 lead after one. The teams swapped goals in the second, while Hutchins scored a shorthanded goal to give the Blizzard a 4-2 lead after two. Minnesota had a successful third period scoring three goals in the first eight minutes. Jezska scored his fifth of the year and tied the gam 5-5 with five minutes left in regualtion, but the Blizzar eventually lost 6-5 in a shootout.

Saturday, November 21
The Blizzard hosted the Aberdeen Wings on Friday night. The game remained scoreless until the 19:28 mark of the second period when Aberdeen capitalized on a breakaway for a 1-0 lead. Yelle came through for the Blizzard tipping in a shot from Spetz to tie the game late in the third to set up for an OT. Ford was able to give the Blizzard an OT win from Callahan. Kuehmichel stopped 22 of 23 shots.
