Blizzard Road Win Behind Boyer and Brizgala

Jan 19th Brookings at Bismarck
Brookings 4-2
Brookings traveled to Bismarck trailing the Bobcats and Minot by three points for the final playoff spot in the Central division. Bismarck led early after scoring on a penalty shot, but Brookings answered when Josh Boyer scored his 11th of the season on the backhand to tie it back up. Bismarck grabbed the lead again at the end of the first, and held it until the 15 minute mark of the second. It was Boyer again this time on the power play, off nice assists from Sasson and Teamor. Haiden Karnick gave the Blizzard a 3-2 lead moments later off a nice feed from Connor Koviak. Boyer completed the hat trick with and insurance goal late in the third after he knocked home a rebound off a Koviak shot. Adam Brizgala stopped 32 of 34 for the victory in his Brookings debut. Brookings will take on Bismarck Saturday night at 7:15.
