Blizzard Gear Up for Top Prospects

The Brookings Blizzard will be well represented at the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament in Troy, Michigan next week.  Along with the four players selected to the play for team Dakota, head coach Cory Laylin will coach the U18 Selects team and Blizzard Forward Eric Brenk will play for the U18 Selects. Laylin and Brend will join Drew Brevig, Jared Docken, Justin Moody, and Thomas Williams who will play for team Dakota team during the three-day tournament.

In a very short period of time, the NAHL Top Prospects Tournament has become one of the most highly scouted events of its kind.  Last season, over 160 scouts attended the event, which featured almost every NHL team and NCAA Division I school.  Over a third of the players that competed in last year’s event ended up with an NCAA Division I opportunity.
