Blizzard Drop Another to Austin

The Austin Bruins continue to show their dominance in the Central Division by beating the Brookings Blizzard 5-3 Friday night at the Larson Ice Center. Austin took control of the game early with three goals in the first nine minutes and took that lead to the locker room. The Blizzard came out on fire to start the second scoring twice in the first three and a half minutes. Thomas Williams scored his 21st of the year on a nice pass from Aidan Cavalinni to get the Blizzard on the board. Matt Youso then took a nice pass in the high slot from Evan Hesse and roofed it for his of the year. That pulled the Blizzard to within a goal, but Austin scored the final two goals of the period to regain a three goal lead. Connor Anderle scored late in the third period on a nice pass from Justin Moody to pull within two, but Austin held off the late charge for their seventh win against Brookings. The Blizzard will try to salvage a split of the weekend series tonight in Brookings at 7pm. watch the action on fasthockey.com
